Refund & Returns Policy
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Eurosteel NZ will not be held responsible for incorrect information provided by you, your builder, or any third party regarding your order which results in a door or window being manufactured to the wrong size or specification. It is your responsibility to ensure all measurements and plans submitted to us are accurate and complete. As all our products are custom made to order, all payments are final, and no refunds will be issued due to errors arising from incorrect information supplied to us.
Upon receipt of your deposit, Eurosteel NZ will produce shop drawings based on your selected design and the specifications you provide. These drawings must be reviewed and signed off by you or your representative before we proceed with production. Please ensure all details are thoroughly checked prior to sign-off, as this becomes the final specification for manufacture.
Payment Terms – Custom Steel Doors & Windows
A deposit is required to confirm your order and initiate the design and shop drawing process. The remaining balance must be paid in full prior to shipment from our manufacturing facility overseas.
Once your order is completed, our accounts team will send you final images along with the outstanding invoice. You will have 7 days to pay the balance. If payment is not received within this timeframe, storage fees will apply on a daily basis, depending on the size and quantity of the order.
Deposit Refunds & Order Cancellation
If you cancel your order within 7 days of paying your deposit, a cancellation fee of NZD $1500 + GST or 5% of the total order value (whichever is greater) will be deducted from your refund. Please note that any credit card processing fees are non-refundable.
If you cancel after the 7-day cooling-off period, the deposit is non-refundable. Once your order is signed off and placed into production, the full balance becomes payable upon completion.
Consumer Rights – New Zealand
In accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, you are entitled to certain guarantees when you purchase goods and services. However, please note the following exceptions where refunds or replacements do not apply:
You changed your mind or found the product cheaper elsewhere
You no longer need or want the product
You misused the product and this caused the issue
You were made aware of any faults before purchase
You asked for a product to be made or installed contrary to our advice
Warranty and Repairs
Please refer to our Warranty Page for full details on what constitutes a defect or issue. If a minor fault is identified in one of our products and it falls within our defined tolerance levels for handcrafted steelwork, we will offer a free repair or other appropriate remedy. You are required to accept this repair if deemed reasonable and in accordance with the Act.
If we cannot resolve the minor issue within a reasonable timeframe, or if the product is determined to have a major fault, you may be entitled to:
Have the product repaired elsewhere and pass on reasonable costs to us
Request a replacement product
Request a refund
Seek compensation for a reduction in value
A product will be deemed to have a major fault if:
It has a problem that would have stopped a reasonable person from buying it
It is significantly different from its description or sample
It is substantially unfit for purpose and cannot be easily fixed
It is unsafe or does not perform as expected
Important Note – Custom Steel Fabrication
Eurosteel NZ’s steel and iron doors are handcrafted using traditional welding and fabrication techniques. As such, minor cosmetic imperfections in steelwork, welds, or paint finish are considered normal and within tolerance for bespoke hand-built products. Bowing or minor flex in steel components may also occur due to the natural rigidity and weight of the materials during manufacture or transit.
Each Eurosteel door is unique. We do not produce mass-market or laser-cut doors, and each item may exhibit slight variations reflective of authentic, custom craftsmanship. If a defect exceeds our acceptable tolerances, Eurosteel NZ will remedy the issue as outlined in our warranty.
