Warranty
Warranty – Eurosteel NZ
Thank you for your interest in the products and services of Eurosteel NZ.
This Limited Warranty applies to physical goods, and only to physical goods, purchased directly from Eurosteel NZ (the “Products”), and excludes any installation services.
What Does This Limited Warranty Cover?
This Limited Warranty covers any manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that are not considered fair wear and tear, for the duration of the Warranty Period. This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and does not replace or limit those statutory rights.
During the Warranty Period, Eurosteel NZ will repair or replace, at no charge, any product or component found to be defective due to faulty manufacturing under normal use and proper maintenance.
This warranty excludes:
Any product damage caused by incorrect installation or poor handling on site.
Damage by other tradespeople after delivery.
Fair wear and tear.
Important Note – Custom Steel & Iron Products
Our steel and iron doors and architectural products are handcrafted and custom welded, not laser-cut, which means minor cosmetic imperfections in the steelwork, welding, and paint finish are to be expected and fall within acceptable tolerance levels. These products may also show minor bowing or surface variation due to the rigidity and weight of the steel used during manufacturing and transport.
Every product is a unique, hand-built piece, and no two are identical. Any significant defect outside our tolerance, as deemed by Eurosteel NZ, will be repaired or replaced under the terms of this warranty.
What Will We Do to Correct Problems?
If a product or part of it is found to be defective due to manufacturing fault, we will:
Repair or replace the item or part, if it cannot be repaired to our standards.
How Long Does Coverage Last?
The Warranty Period for physical goods purchased from Eurosteel NZ is 5 years from the date of delivery for any manufacturing defects.
Any replacement product or part provided under this warranty will assume the remaining warranty period of the original item or 5 years from the delivery date, whichever is later.
What Does This Limited Warranty Not Cover?
This Limited Warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from:
Incorrect installation not in accordance with Eurosteel NZ’s guidelines.
General wear and tear or damage caused by misuse or poor maintenance.
Damage caused by trades, mishandling, or accidents on site.
Paint finish issues or rusting from excessive water exposure or prolonged direct sunlight if the product is installed without adequate overhead protection (e.g. at least 1–1.5 metres of eave cover).
Water ingress: While our products include seals and weather stripping, they are not fully watertight and must be installed with appropriate sheltering to prevent water damage.
Any tampering or modification to the product without written approval from Eurosteel NZ.
Note: All Eurosteel NZ products are hot-dip galvanised, primed with a zinc-based coating, and painted with a high-performance fluorocarbon finish for superior corrosion resistance. However, rust may develop in areas where the galvanising membrane has been breached (e.g. during on-site drilling or installation). This is not covered under warranty unless otherwise agreed.
